The Line Maintenance Technician provides crucial technical support to packaging teams during production hours. This role involves troubleshooting, machine repairs, adjustments, fine-tuning, eliminating bottlenecks, training operators, setting up machines, executing changeovers, and operating equipment as needed.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Maintains production equipment (including but not limited to: de-scrambler, filler, case former, case sealer, case packer, and palletizer/stretch wrapper) and components to meet the targeted efficiency rates for all products.
  • Performs autonomous maintenance on required machines to ensure effective operation and output.
  • Perform line changeovers and setups for various package and fluid combinations daily.
  • Works with and trains on all maintenance related activities.
  • Safely operates equipment to meet quality, scheduling, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure all quality standards are met, i.e., verification of materials and components for orders, etc.
  • Operate equipment per work instructions and lead in machine set-up and changeover functions
  • Participate in line performance troubleshooting and problem-solving activities
  • Assist with AM functions, cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and tightening
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying areas of waste
  • Operate support equipment
  • Utilize and practice Risk Management Concepts and PDCA Techniques.
  • Identify and continually improve work processes and efficiencies through the development, implementation, and support of the Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • Identify and address any suspected nonconforming product, process or activity and request, initiate or support internal and external corrective action processes as needed.
  • Practice, maintain and promote good housekeeping and a safe working environment.
  • Support and comply with company policies, procedures and practices.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned or defined in operating procedures.
