About The Position

Join the Airport Field Maintenance team as a Maintenance Liaison, where you'll help keep daily operations running smoothly by supporting employees, coordinating onboarding and training activities, and serving as a liaison with internal and external partners. This role manages a variety of administrative functions, including work orders, recordkeeping, department communications, meetings, and employee support services.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate
  • Two (2) years of public contact experience involving the explanation of regulations, policies, or procedures.
  • A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements.
  • Requires a valid Driver’s License at the time of application.
  • Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
  • Knowledge of basic office and administrative practices.
  • Learn and use different computer programs, websites, and electronic systems.
  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain information.
  • Organize work and keep track of multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Provide helpful and professional customer service to employees and others.
  • Handle confidential information appropriately and use good judgment.
  • Work independently on routine assignments and know when to ask for assistance.
  • Work effectively with employees, supervisors, managers, and other City staff.
  • Recognize opportunities to improve administrative processes and make suggestions to supervisors.
  • FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN).
  • Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment.
  • By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.
  • If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Assists new employees with the onboarding process and guides them through the steps needed for workplace programs.
  • Provides friendly and helpful support to department employees who have questions or need assistance with routine administrative matters.
  • Maintains employee training records and enters completed training into the appropriate systems.
  • Helps schedule training, maintain training lists, communicate training information, and track completion of required training.
  • Creates work orders which are then assigned and prioritized by supervisors or managers.
  • Provides support to other members of the administration team. This may include preparing documents, updating spreadsheets, maintaining records, preparing reports, processing forms, scheduling meetings, organizing information, and responding to emails.
  • Enters and updates information in department websites, online systems, and other electronic programs. Maintains department information accurate and up to date.
  • Prepares purchase requisitions and other purchasing paperwork based on information provided by supervisors or managers.
  • Supports organizing and coordinating department meetings, employee activities, recognition events, and other special events.
  • Maintains employee and department information, including information that may be confidential or related to building and security access.
  • Follows established procedures, instructions, and guidelines when completing assigned work. Refers unusual questions or situations to a supervisor or the appropriate department.
  • Communicates with employees, supervisors, managers, other City staff, and occasionally vendors or outside organizations to exchange information and complete routine administrative tasks.
  • Helps identify ways to make administrative processes easier, more organized, or more efficient and shares suggestions with supervisors.
  • Manages multiple assignments and adjusts to changing workloads, including increased activity during seasonal operations, hiring periods, training cycles, and special events.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Participates in mandatory snow removal duties.
