Requirements

  • Must be able to perform all Engineer II, I, and Utility duties
  • Must complete all work orders, whether verbal or physically given, with limited or no supervision.
  • Must have willingness to train lower qualified engineers/utility
  • Must comply with all OSHA/IBC/NFPA codes, and any regulations set forth by the local or national government.
  • completes work orders as they come in for the property including, but not limited to: HVAC, carpentry, boilers/chillers, Kitchen equipment, painting, plumbing, pool maintenance, electrical, equipment/vehicle maintenance, and any duties that a utility or Maintenance I can perform

Responsibilities

  • Perform all Engineer II, I, and Utility duties.
  • Complete all work orders, whether verbal or physically given, with limited or no supervision.
  • Train lower qualified engineers/utility staff.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Respond and assist to emergencies as requested.
  • Perform duties as set forth by the Shift Manager and Director with the departments best interest.
  • Assign department staff if Manager or Director are not on property.
  • Coordinate work/projects for all shift, and assign individual duties for the day with direction from the Manager and/or Director.
  • Train all Maintenance staff if requested and if qualified and time allows.
  • Create daily shift reports that will be given to the manager for review after each shift.
  • Monitor all work orders that have come in on the shift, and/or passed from previous shifts.
  • Maintain open communication with other leads from other departments for work orders.
  • Maintain a clean work area and will clean and organize Engineer areas as requested.
  • Perform daily central plant and other related readings and recordings each day or will designate an Engineer to do so.
  • Ensure all equipment in central plants is at the right temp/pressures and performing correctly.
  • Coordinate with security on the fire control panel.
  • Receive all daily log sheets and check for any issues, and will relay this information to the Manager and Director at the end of shift with an email the engineering shift report.
  • Comply with all OSHA/IBC/NFPA codes, and any regulations set forth by the local or national government.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Direct, Check, review, assign, organize and coordinate the work to the Maintenance techs.
  • Be responsible for training and reporting on the work performance of the department.
  • Be responsible for managing and directing the work assignments resulting from a service call.
  • All above-mentioned duties can change at the discretion of Management including additions, removal and changing of duties at any time.
