About The Position

This job will have supervisory responsibilities. The Maintenance Lead Technician must be able to perform all Engineer II, I, and Utility duties and complete all work orders, whether verbal or physically given, with limited or no supervision. The role requires a willingness to train lower-qualified engineers/utility staff and enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service. The technician is responsible for responding to and assisting with emergencies, performing duties as set forth by the Shift Manager and Director, and coordinating work/projects for all shifts. They will assign individual duties for the day with direction from management and train all Maintenance staff if requested, qualified, and time allows. The role involves creating daily shift reports, monitoring work orders, maintaining open communication with other leads, keeping the work area clean, and performing daily central plant readings and recordings. Ensuring equipment in central plants is at the correct temperature/pressures and performing correctly is crucial. The technician will coordinate with security on the fire control panel, receive and check daily log sheets for issues, and relay this information to management via email at the end of the shift. Compliance with all OSHA/IBC/NFPA codes and government regulations is mandatory. The role also includes performing other assigned duties and completing work orders for HVAC, carpentry, boilers/chillers, kitchen equipment, painting, plumbing, pool maintenance, electrical, equipment/vehicle maintenance, and any duties a utility or Maintenance I can perform. The Maintenance Lead Technician will direct, check, review, assign, organize, and coordinate the work of Maintenance techs, and will be responsible for training and reporting on their work performance. They will also manage and direct work assignments resulting from service calls. All duties are subject to change at the discretion of Management.

Requirements

Must be able to train all Maintenance staff if requested and if qualified and time allows.
Must comply with all OSHA/IBC/NFPA codes, and any regulations set forth by the local or national government.
