About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Maintenance Lead with experience in residential property management and interior unit renovations. The role supports The Finch Apartments, which is currently undergoing renovations to update and modernize the community. The company offers a fun, non-corporate culture and great benefits.

Requirements

2+ years general maintenance experience or equivalent training is required.
CPO Certification required.
Familiarity with WA State Landlord-Tenant Laws helpful.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Comfortable standing for two hours at a time while work is performed
Able to stand on varying surfaces such as carpeting, linoleum, tile, concrete, gravel, dirt, and grass for multiple hours throughout the day
Lifting/Carry 10 to 50 pounds - when lifting various supplies or equipment. Assistance is available in moving furniture that weighs over 50 pounds
Occasional pushing and pulling when moving furniture. Carts may be available for moving heavier equipment.
Able to climb stairs and occasionally climb ladders when cleaning gutters, painting or performing other job duties.
Frequent bending occurs when repairing pipes under sinks, installing wall outlets, painting, etc.
Occasional crouching occurs when repairing pipes under sinks, installing wall outlets, painting, etc.
Occasional twisting may occur when performing carpentry work.
Occasional kneeling occurs when repairing pipes under sinks, installing wall outlets, painting, etc.
Rare crawling will occur to use crawl space to check facility pipes, and wiring

Nice To Haves

Spraying experience preferred for painting.
CPO certification would be helpful.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs of building, including but not limited to: minor plumbing repair, general carpentry, painting, drywall, minor appliance repair and cleaning.
Perform unit turns including but not limited to: servicing appliances, plumbing and electrical, replace old or faulty parts, re-key locks, replace burnt out light bulbs and interior painting.
Unit renovations duties to include demolition, drywall/texture repairs, trim and door installation, painting (spraying experience preferred) plumbing and appliance installation, new interior finishes installation such as doorknobs, towel bars, window blinds, and mirrors, etc.
Working alongside contractors for scheduling, ordering and inventory of renovation supplies.
Address and follow up as necessary on all residents’ work order requests in a timely and professional manner.
Knowledge of pool and spa testing, treating, recording with minor repairs and diagnosis.
Maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors and suppliers and work with them to produce the best product and pricing for the properties.
Maintain professionalism and communicate effectively with all key stakeholders including, but not limited to, residents, tenants, the Property manager, Portfolio manager, office staff, and vendors.
Complete all work in a timely and professional manner.
Must be able to work flexible hours and respond to after-hours requests.
