About The Position

This is a chance to work for a company with a fun and non-corporate culture and great benefits! You will work with a property manager to support The Finch Apartments. The Finch Apartments are in Vancouver and the property is currently undergoing renovations to update and modernize the community!

Requirements

  • 2+ years general maintenance experience or equivalent training is required.
  • CPO Certification required.
  • Familiarity with OR Landlord-Tenant Laws helpful.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Spraying experience preferred for painting.
  • CPO certification would be helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs of building, including but not limited to: minor plumbing repair, general carpentry, painting, drywall, minor appliance repair and cleaning.
  • Perform unit turns including but not limited to: servicing appliances, plumbing and electrical, replace old or faulty parts, re-key locks, replace burnt out light bulbs and interior painting.
  • Unit renovations duties to include demolition, drywall/texture repairs, trim and door installation, painting (spraying experience preferred) plumbing and appliance installation, new interior finishes installation such as doorknobs, towel bars, window blinds, and mirrors, etc. Working alongside contractors for scheduling, ordering and inventory of renovation supplies.
  • Address and follow up as necessary on all residents’ work order requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of pool and spa testing, treating, recording with minor repairs and diagnosis. CPO certification would be helpful.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors and suppliers and work with them to produce the best product and pricing for the properties.
  • Maintain professionalism and communicate effectively with all key stakeholders including, but not limited to, residents, tenants, the Property manager, Portfolio manager, office staff, and vendors.
  • Complete all work in a timely and professional manner.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and respond to after-hours requests.
