About The Position

Maintenance Landscapers are responsible for landscaping, light maintenance tasks, keeping buildings clean by picking up trash, sweeping, and mopping, as well as cleaning bathrooms and ensuring they are fully stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. They also complete a number of other functions, such as cleaning windows, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash.

Requirements

Knowledge of general maintenance requirements (e.g., documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations)
Familiarity with state and local governmental safety requirements
Understanding of equipment used in custodial trades
Ability to interpret and follow verbal and written instructions proficiently
Strong professional customer service skills
Effective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in time-sensitive situations

Nice To Haves

Strong landscaping experience is highly preferred, as the role involves working outdoors 50% or more of the time.
Swimming pool and light maintenance experience are both highly desirable.
CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification is a plus and may qualify for higher pay.

Responsibilities

Primarily focused on landscaping, with additional porter duties and light maintenance tasks.
Keep the grounds clean and attractive.
Monitor the upkeep and maintenance of the landscaping and grounds daily.
Clean assigned areas, including furniture, telephones, fixtures, walls, windows, window sills, blinds, and vents.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum all area floors, restrooms, and break areas.
Clean rest room facilities and replenish supplies.
Perform general cleaning, light floor care, and special event set-ups.
Collect and remove trash and recyclables.
Other duties as assigned.
