About The Position

Performs skilled, complex work repairing, maintaining, and installing heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and steam distribution equipment and systems. The role typically requires three or more years of documented field experience in the chosen craft, along with the ability to read and interpret instructions, document and plan work, and perform activities independently. The job operates under immediate supervision and relies on instructions and established guidelines.

Ability to read and interpret instructions, document and plan work, and perform work activities independently.

Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
Ability to perform a variety of duties that may change often.
Ability to perform arithmetic operations rapidly and accurately.
Ability to see details in objects or drawings as three-dimensional objects.
Ability to work at heights without fear.
May require a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in the field or a related area.
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and steam distribution equipment and systems.
Operate a variety of equipment as needed to perform the work.
Install, maintain, and repair computerized electronic pneumatic devices related to HVAC control.
Prepare sketches showing the locations of wiring and equipment, or follow diagrams or blueprints.
Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
Maintain tools and equipment.
Observe and comply with safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
Perform other duties as required.
