About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is part of the Facility Technology Team and performs preventive maintenance, shutdown maintenance, and breakdown repairs on utility equipment and facility infrastructure. The role includes maintaining industrial and facility systems, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues to support machine uptime, and documenting maintenance work in Hankook’s maintenance system for time accountability, parts consumption, and maintenance metrics. The position reports to the Utility and Facility Unit Manager and works core business hours Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of previous maintenance experience in an industrial environment, or completion of a 2-year accredited Industrial Maintenance Certification program.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of utility and facility equipment.
Knowledge of CMMS and the ability to log activities properly.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Effective speaking, writing, active listening, and reading comprehension skills.
Ability to climb up and down a ladder or stair several times per shift and stand for long periods.
Ability to move throughout the facility and occasionally stoop, kneel, walk, or crouch.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted on occasion.
Close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair steam boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, water softeners, water heaters, plumbing, and facility infrastructure.
Perform drywall repairs and painting, HVAC troubleshooting, filter changes, coil cleaning, pump rebuilding, control valve rebuilding, belt changes and tensioning, alignment, greasing, and lubrication.
Troubleshoot fan motors and domestic water pumps; repair and maintain domestic water pumps.
Perform copper pipe soldering and PVC pipe fitting.
Calibrate scales, temperature instruments, and pressure instruments to ISO and IATF standards.
Perform machine vibration analysis; set up and maintain online vibration analyzers; gather and interpret data and prepare reports on rotational equipment to detect faults before equipment failure.
Troubleshoot and repair diesel, propane, and battery forklifts.
Perform planned preventive maintenance on facility and utility equipment.
Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to maintain machine uptime at the highest possible rate.
Document maintenance activities in Hankook’s maintenance system, including time, parts consumption, and unit maintenance metrics.
Perform work from blueprints, sketches, or detailed written procedures.
Work safely, follow company standards, and maintain regular attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
