  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience managing conflict and making clear decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading people, including addressing performance concerns.
  • Strong analytical ability to diagnose and solve complex technical and operational issues.
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Word, email, basic systems use).
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts.
  • Availability to regularly work weekends to meet production demands (approximately two weekends per month).

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyperson certification or an Engineering Bachelor’s degree.
  • Knowledge of Maximo or similar computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Familiarity with PLC controls and robotics in a production setting.
  • High level of integrity, self-direction, and comfort working with ambiguity.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple functions (production, engineering, tooling, etc.) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and resourcefulness – willing to ask questions, challenge the status quo, and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of maintenance employees (Electricians & IMMs) supporting plant production operations.
  • Coordinate multiple maintenance operations while making sound decisions within established policies and practices.
  • Optimize manpower and resources to meet business and production objectives.
  • Enforce strict safety standards, championing a zero-incident culture and full compliance with safety policies and regulations.
  • Administer labor relations as required, working effectively within a unionized environment.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with changing demands and tight timelines.
  • Proactively identify and implement solutions to operational and technical issues.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate maintenance, tooling, and engineering schedules within your area of responsibility.
  • Support throughput and uptime initiatives through PM completion and process improvements (e.g., TIP).
