Maintenance Generalist 2nd Shift Center Feed Mill, Center, TX
About The Position
The Maintenance Generalist is responsible for performing maintenance duties using hand tools and ensuring good housekeeping in service areas. This role requires the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments, with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather. The position also involves working in elevated areas, adhering to biosecurity guidelines, and following all Tyson Health and Safety protocols. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including lifting up to 60 lbs (or up to 100 lbs with assistance), and sustaining physical activity throughout the day, such as standing, sitting, walking, and climbing ladders/stairs. This role is eligible for relocation assistance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance work experience documented in the work history section of the application
- 180 days wait period from last termination date
- 3X rule (candidates cannot have worked for Tyson 3X before)
- Ability to lift and use hand tools
- The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Ability to perform maintenance duties using hand tools

- Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species

- Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols
- Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day
- Complete all other tasks assigned by management
