About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position is specifically responsible for performing maintenance on separator and chick lines. This position could work in any department of the hatchery.

Requirements

Six (6) months of operator experience with one employer within the previous 12 months.
Three to five years of related experience, including at least three years in an industrial setting or relevant work environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to read and write in order to follow Tyson preventive maintenance program.
Must have the ability to pass pulmonary function test to dispense chemicals and comply with OSHA guidelines.
Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl.
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Reside in a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Nice To Haves

Technical or Vocational Diploma preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field may be considered in lieu of a diploma.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets.
Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Performing maintenance on separator and chick lines.
Working in any department of the hatchery.
Communicating both orally and in writing.
Keeping accurate records.
Using basic hand tools, operating power tools and all automated equipment, saws, sheet metal shears, drills, grinders and ladders as needed.
Obtaining powered industrial truck certification (PIT).
