About The Position

The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions, is recruiting for a Maintenance Generalist, Lead for the Palmer Correctional Center (PCC), located in Palmer, Alaska. Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Foreman, this position is responsible for maintaining and repairing the infrastructure of the Palmer Correctional Center (PCC). Maintains and repairs all facility plumbing, perform plumbing maintenance repairs and installations of sinks, toilets, faucets. Performs carpentry construction, alteration, renovations and repairs of buildings. Incumbent must have the ability to complete all of the assigned duties, functions and tasks independently and with minimal supervision. This position leads a prisoner work crew.

Requirements

Small Water Treated Systems Certificate required.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must pass a criminal history check.
Must be fingerprinted.
Must have the ability to complete all of the assigned duties, functions and tasks independently and with minimal supervision.
