About The Position

This position is open to Alaska Residents only. The Division of Juvenile Justice is recruiting to fill a Maintenance Generalist, Journey position located at the Kenai Peninsula Youth Facility. Observing strict safety and security requirements, this position will independently perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of building components and systems at the Kenai Peninsula Youth Facility, a secure institutional setting. Additionally, it performs janitorial services for the facility and surrounding grounds.

Requirements

  • Must be an Alaska Resident.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background investigation, which includes a state and FBI fingerprint-based background check.
  • Must submit a copy of current Alaska driver’s license at the time of appointment.
  • Must fill in the Education section of the application and indicate the number of units completed if a degree has not been obtained.
  • Copies of transcripts are required to verify educational credentials being used to meet the minimum qualifications for a position.
  • Work experience needed to meet the minimum qualifications must be documented in the application.
  • Must certify that they have a legal right to accept employment in the United States.
