About The Position

This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to Tyson policies and procedures. The technician will be responsible for mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs, including diagnosing and fixing issues without supervision. They will also prepare written documentation of actions taken, respond to breakdowns and emergency situations, and perform preventive maintenance according to schedule. The position requires the ability to start and shut down equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision, and to assist other mechanics as needed. The work environment can involve varying temperatures, dust, and humidity. Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, climbing ladders, lifts, and scaffolds, with lifting up to 70lbs potentially required.

Requirements

  • 1 year work experience in industrial maintenance
  • Complete work history or resume attached to application
  • Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.
  • Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.
  • Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.
  • Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets.
  • Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.
  • Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
  • Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and reports.
  • Comply with lockout/tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
  • Perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.
  • Start all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.
  • Assist with other mechanics as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
