About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role involves responding to mechanical or electrical breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and completing necessary paperwork. The work environment can vary in temperature, and may be dusty, warm, cold, and/or humid. Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds. Lifting up to 70lbs may be required depending on the department. This position is for current team members at the facility or complex only.

Requirements

1 year of work experience in industrial maintenance
Must have less than 7 attendance points and have no written disciplinary actions in the last 12 months.
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.
Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.
Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.
Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.
Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
Complete appropriate paperwork and reports.
Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.
Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.
Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.
Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
