The Maintenance & Facilities Manager is responsible for all aspects of maintenance, installation, and construction of the plant facility, including all production equipment, buildings, grounds, and utilities, in concert with the established objectives and goals of MACtac. This role involves planning, developing, and supervising maintenance programs and procedures for efficient operation of the plant/production facility, including machine installation, repair, demolition, grounds keeping, and capital projects. The manager will deploy proven maintenance programs such as preventative, predictive, condition-based, reliability engineering, and total productive maintenance, utilizing a CMMS system to manage departmental workflow. This position supports all facility functions impacting quality, cost, safety, delivery, and morale, acting as a change agent to lead the workforce towards facility and corporate objectives. Involvement in failure mode analysis events and programs is expected, with a strong presence on the plant floor to set, communicate, and evaluate standards. The role perpetuates a culture of continuous improvement through TQM, Six Sigma, and Lean principles and methodologies, and requires strong project management skills in proposal development, project planning, execution, and outcome evaluation, as well as strong statistical analysis skills. The manager will direct the purchase, organization, and preparation of critical maintenance spare parts, develop strong working relationships with maintenance, technical, operations, and corporate resources, and supervise, motivate, and coach the maintenance staff. This role also involves administering and reporting compliance with environmental and safety regulations, managing inspection programs for plant equipment, ensuring OSHA compliance, managing grounds keeping contracts, maintaining facility security and fire systems, and acting as the primary contact for facility alarming. Travel and regular attendance are required. This position normally works in a manufacturing environment with limited time spent in the office. The noise level is usually moderate. Hearing, eye, and foot protection are mandatory when entering the plant. Legal authorization to work in the US is required, and sponsorship for employment visas will not be provided.
