About The Position

The Maintenance Fabrication Technician repairs and maintains machinery, basic plumbing, basic electrical wiring, and the physical structures of the company’s facilities. The role is responsible for understanding and promoting the company’s Mission Statement and Statement of Values while adhering to its Code of Conduct. The technician works across various facilities, maintains positive working relationships with employees, and may take on other duties as workloads, sales volumes, or circumstances require. Requirements

High school diploma required.
Experience in facility/building maintenance or a related field is preferred.
Ability to operate power tools such as drills and saws.
Ability to operate landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, weed eaters, and chain saws.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and building repair.
Maintain a clean driving record.
Regularly lift up to 75 pounds; the role may require standing for eight hours at a time with frequent bending and lifting.

Nice To Haves

Additional technical education is preferred.
Ability to operate construction and/or material-handling equipment, including scissor lifts, forklifts, and skid steers, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Repair unsafe equipment immediately.
Maintain physical facilities, including offices, restrooms, canteens, plant areas, fences, and outlying buildings.
Assist the special projects manager when required by a supervisor.
Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance regularly.
Perform lawn care maintenance at company locations.
Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Ensure safety equipment is functioning properly before operating equipment.
Promptly report unsafe actions and equipment to the supervisor.
Respond promptly to maintenance and safety concerns.
Develop positive working relationships with company employees and contribute as a team player.
