About The Position

Fabricate subframes, hitch packages, and assemblies required for the mounting of truck bodies, aerial devices, Service cranes, and/or other utility equipment. Read shop instructions, order steel, communicate with supervisors and other techs. Prepare trucks for additional upfit as necessary. Inspect work during and after fabrication to ensure quality. Ensure trucks have been completely fabricated to customer spec prior to sending out for paint. The company has about 200 employees across its 9 locations in 6 states and is a market leader in various equipment sectors including transport refrigeration, aerial buckets, terminal tractors, and truck bodies.

Requirements

Must be certified or able to be certified in the following weld processes and positions: FCAW and GMAW: 1F, 2F, 3F, 4F, 1G, 2G, 3G, & 4G.
Knowledge of various hand tools and equipment
Teamwork mentality, demonstrates concern and respect for others

Must be dependable and possess reliable transportation

Self-Motivated and Self-Managed
Advanced fabrication / welding skillset

Nice To Haves

Position has three levels, Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, based on experience.
