About The Position

The P IX WAIAU STATION MAINTENANCE Department of the P GENERATION Division at Hawaiian Electric Company has 1 Bargaining Unit vacancy available. This role is responsible for maintaining maintenance equipment and vehicles as assigned. Requirements

Must have or be able to qualify for a State of Hawaii driver’s license.
Must meet the standards for driving positions stated in the Hiring Standards for Driving Positions policy.
Minimum of 3 years experience in the maintenance and repair of internal combustion equipment.

Responsibilities

Services, overhauls, modifies, and repairs vehicles, maintenance equipment and gas or diesel internal combustion engines on such equipment as cranes, air compressors, fingerlifts, power tools, etc.
Services and renders proper maintenance to batteries.
Maintains proper records for equipment.
May repair hand power tools and other related equipment as required.
Drives vehicles and equipment.
Assume an emergency management role, as assigned, and perform specific assignments or functions, as needed, in an event of an emergency, not to include routine trouble calls/callouts.
Performs similar and incidental duties as required.
