About The Position

The P IX WAIAU STATION MAINTENANCE Department of the P GENERATION Division at Hawaiian Electric Company has 1 Bargaining Unit vacancy available. (Role: Non-Exempt). This role is responsible for maintaining maintenance equipment and vehicles as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have or be able to qualify for a State of Hawaii driver’s license.
• Must meet the standards for driving positions stated in the Hiring Standards for Driving Positions policy.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the maintenance and repair of internal combustion equipment.

Responsibilities

• Services, overhauls, modifies, and repairs vehicles, maintenance equipment and gas or diesel internal combustion engines on such equipment as cranes, air compressors, fingerlifts, power tools, etc.
• Services and renders proper maintenance to batteries.
• Maintains proper records for equipment.
• May repair hand power tools and other related equipment as required.
• Drives vehicles and equipment.
• Assume an emergency management role, as assigned, and perform specific assignments or functions, as needed, in an event of an emergency, not to include routine trouble calls/callouts.
• Performs similar and incidental duties as required.
