2027 Summer Maintenance Engineering Internship
About The Position
Butterball, LLC, a leading turkey brand, is offering an exciting summer internship opportunity in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. This 10-12 week internship will take place at our Mount Olive food manufacturing plant, located in Mount Olive, North Carolina. As a maintenance intern, you will gain hands-on experience in daily plant operations, tackle industry challenges, and contribute to process improvements within the maintenance team, which provides mechanical support for operational changes and equipment modifications. The program's main goal is to develop future leaders through professional development and assignments aligned with interests in the processing and manufacturing industry.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelors, Master or PhD in Agri-Business, Animal Science, Food Science, Meat Science, Ag Leadership or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2027 through June 2028.
- Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to commute to and from work.
- Demonstrated participation in extracurricular activity.
- Demonstrated involvement on-campus.
Nice To Haves
- Previous work experience of any kind preferred.
Responsibilities
- Master the ins and outs of food production equipment.
