Maintenance Engineer
About The Position
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will help ensure the optimal functioning of facilities and equipment so hospital operations run smoothly and efficiently. The role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems; performing preventative maintenance on critical machinery; keeping detailed records of work performed; following safety protocols; and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires knowledge of maintenance safety and safe use of appropriate protective equipment, communication about work status, and immediate handling of Stat orders.
Requirements
- At least one year of building maintenance experience, including heating, air conditioning, electrical, and plumbing.
- Ability to read plans.
- California driver's license upon hire.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience with industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on critical machinery.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and use appropriate safety equipment, including a back belt, goggles, gloves, face shields, respirators, and protective clothing.
- Communicate the status of work being performed.
- Work Stat orders immediately.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
