About The Position

Healthcare Realty Trust is recruiting an experienced, on-site Maintenance Engineer to support medical office buildings in Columbus. The role performs repairs, building upkeep, emergency and preventive maintenance, and work-order documentation. It requires facilities-maintenance experience and knowledge of building systems, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The position includes on-call duty approximately every five weeks and travel to buildings within the Columbus metropolitan area. The pay range is $25.00–$32.00 per hour. Licensure or trade certification is a plus.

Requirements

• At least five years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Thorough understanding of Building Automation Systems, electrical systems, controls, condensing boilers, package rooftop HVAC, variable air volume systems, chemical treatment, emergency generation equipment, plumbing, transfer switches, and life safety systems.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Self-sufficient team player who takes ownership of work, is flexible, and focuses on creating a positive and welcoming impression.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned repairs and building upkeep, including periodic pressure washing and leaf blowing as needed.
• Perform emergency and preventive maintenance in a timely manner.
• Complete maintenance and repair records as required.
• Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
• Use a personal computer and smartphone for the work-order system and email.
• Participate in on-call coverage approximately every five weeks.
• Travel to buildings within the Columbus metropolitan area.
