Coury Hospitality is seeking a skilled, service-driven Maintenance Engineer for the engineering team serving Hotel Citrine, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, and AC Hotel Palo Alto Moffett Park in Silicon Valley. Hotel Citrine is described as an eco-conscious property with vibrant design and elevated service, while AC Hotel Palo Alto offers modern luxury with a European and Spanish influence. Together, the properties emphasize style, sustainability, and service. The Maintenance Engineer helps keep the properties polished, problem-free, and ready to deliver a strong guest experience. This hands-on technician troubleshoots issues, maintains property systems, and collaborates with hotel departments to support reliable operations.
Requirements
- Foundational knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with tools, safety procedures, and maintenance best practices.
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in hotel or facility maintenance is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest service and maintenance requests.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to extend the life of property systems.
- Support the safe operation of fire alarms, emergency exits, sprinklers, and other life safety systems.
- Collaborate with housekeeping, the front desk, and other departments to address maintenance concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist with landscaping, snow removal, and seasonal exterior upkeep as needed.
