About The Position

The Maintenance Engineer assists with the operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel equipment and facilities at Hampton Inn Chandler. The role performs preventative maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and across hotel systems and equipment, responds to alarms, and carries out additional duties assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
Acceptable property-specific motor vehicle driving record.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a hotel or related field.
Trade license in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, or a related trade.

Responsibilities

Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
Change light bulbs and perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms, including vinyl repair, paint touch-ups, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, and tile repairs.
Perform preventative maintenance on ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen and laundry equipment, HVAC systems, guest rooms, meeting rooms, the swimming pool, and hot tub.
Perform plumbing and laundry equipment repairs.
Perform preventative maintenance on exhaust fans and supply systems.
Monitor energy conservation.
Repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment upon request.
Respond immediately to alarms to determine their location and cause, assess emergency status, and report findings to the Front Desk.
Perform other tasks or jobs as assigned by a supervisor or manager.
