About The Position

Hilton Bellevue is currently searching for a Full-Time Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As maintenance, you would be responsible for maintaining the building, parking, guest rooms, and front and heart of house space in good working order and condition. You would assist in assuring the safety of guests and team members, and contribute to the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. We have both day and evening shifts available.

Requirements

Good communications skills, and the ability to communicate in English with guests and co-workers
The ability to work a flexible schedule, including day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in general contracting, maintenance, construction trades, or repairs preferred
HVAC, electrical, and/or pool certifications preferred
Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on furniture, fixtures, and equipment throughout the hotel
Perform or assist in performing repairs to equipment, furniture, structures, etc.
Provide timely and courteous service to guests with maintenance requests
Trouble shoot and problem solve equipment that is not in working order, and recommend solutions to resolve the issue
Use basic carpentry and plumbing knowledge to make repairs under supervision
May be required to perform general painting, landscaping, and cleaning duties
Safe and proper use of power tools
Develop effective and professional working relationships with fellow employees, managers, contractors, and guests
