About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced, hands-on Maintenance Engineer to maintain a hotel property. The role supports the company’s service culture and includes maintaining the property grounds, public areas, guest rooms, and hotel equipment. The position involves preventive maintenance, responding to and completing work orders, and identifying and reporting problems during daily rounds. Requirements

In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
Basic math skills.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; bend, stretch, push, pull, and move to reach, clean, and service machinery; visually inspect machines; and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Three years of hotel maintenance experience preferred (the posting states “three (2) years”).
One year of college or trade school equivalent in mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Oversee the property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms.
Conduct preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems.
Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
Respond to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
Fulfill work orders in a timely manner.
Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
