About The Position

Valley View Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Maintenance Engineer to perform maintenance and repairs throughout the facility. The role supports the hospital’s equipment, systems, structures, utilities, and safety-related equipment, helping maintain a safe and functional care environment. The position is full-time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Two years of institutional or commercial maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and/or electronic systems.
• Critical-thinking skills and decisive judgment; ability to work with minimal supervision, handle a stressful environment, and take appropriate action.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively and professionally with people at all levels, internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment, systems, and structures.
• Install, test, maintain, operate, and repair machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed.
• Perform major and minor maintenance work.
• Complete utility and structural repairs as needed, independently or with internal or external tradespersons.
• Assist with inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire risers, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire doors, and other fire- and safety-related equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures on assigned equipment, building systems, and utility systems.
• Move items within and between locations and to or from storage.
• Assemble and relocate furniture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
