About The Position

Homewood Suites Hotel in Dover, New Hampshire is hiring a full-time Hotel Maintenance Engineer. The role is responsible for maintaining the hotel building and grounds and operating its equipment and mechanical and electrical systems. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, with weekend call-ins only in emergency situations, and pay of $23–$26 per hour.

Requirements

Knowledge of HVAC and the ability to troubleshoot and service it within the employee’s ability.
Skill in maintaining and repairing security hardware.
Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and the safety precautions needed to perform assigned duties safely.
A valid driver’s license for shuttle runs.

Nice To Haves

Pool testing certification, if appropriate.
Weekend availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

Review maintenance problems, complaints, and work orders to prioritize and schedule assignments.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning electrical and mechanical systems and equipment within the employee’s ability.
Inspect the property to identify potential and current maintenance needs.
Plan and carry out appropriate ongoing maintenance programs.
Solicit and evaluate contractor bids and ensure contracted work is completed to specifications.
Coordinate with local health, safety, fire, and building inspectors to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
Service the hotel pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters.
Maintain the building’s exterior when it is not serviced by a contractor, including lawn care and painting.
Perform janitorial duties, including trash removal and cleaning public spaces inside and outside the hotel.
Conduct shuttle runs; a valid driver’s license is required.
