About The Position

The Radisson Hotel La Crosse, a 163-room hotel in Riverside Park overlooking the Mississippi River, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer. Experience is not required; the hotel is willing to train a candidate who is eager to learn and grow. The role maintains and repairs hotel rooms, equipment, and public spaces, responds to reports of equipment problems, and performs preventive maintenance. Hours and days may vary based on scheduling needs, and weekend availability is required.

Requirements

• Facility maintenance experience is ideal, preferably in the hospitality industry; experience is not required, as training is available.
• Valid driver's license and ability to successfully pass a driving record check.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Commitment to exceptional guest service.
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when handling all situations.
• Ability to adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
• Working knowledge of computers and math.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 100 pounds; stand for long periods and exert well-paced mobility for an eight-hour shift; and squat, bend, kneel, and twist on an ongoing basis.
• Ability to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in pool maintenance, HVAC units, plumbing, and electrical work.
• HVAC and CPO certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond immediately to customer and hotel staff reports of non-functioning equipment.
• Maintain a problem logbook of equipment needing repair and prioritize repair efforts.
• Report hazards or injuries in the department or hotel and take immediate corrective action.
• Maintain rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed.
• Understand and follow the Room Preventative Maintenance Program (R.P.M.).
• Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Maintain the condition of hotel lobbies and restaurants.
• Repair furniture, carpet, marble, tile, windows, mirrors, and decorations as necessary.
• Keep operating equipment in working condition through routine checks and repairs.
