About The Position

Second Nature Brands is on a mission to grow from $500M to $1B over the next 4 years through an aggressive combination of M&A and organic growth. We have an opening for a Maintenance Technician position, who will be an important member of the supply chain team during this growth. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Second Nature Brands. This role is responsible for the overall upkeep of electrical needs of the plant, which include but are not limited to maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment in our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background with a Journeyman card or equivalent, ensuring all production equipment runs efficiently while adhering to food safety, electrical, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Electrician certification (or equivalent)
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, motors, sensors, and controls
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset and willingness to learn
  • Knows how to use a digital multimeter. Testing fuses, reading voltage, etc.
  • High School Education or equivalent.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance environments
  • Previous PLC troubleshooting and basic programming
  • Familiarity with automation components such as VFDs, sensors, photo eyes, encoders, and HMI interfaces
  • Basic mechanical skills, including working with conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and pneumatic system

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and automated equipment
  • Complete work orders, document repairs, and issue parts in the CMMS system
  • Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and control system issues with guidance as needed
  • Collaborate with operators, supervisors, and maintenance team members
  • Assist with equipment changeovers and startups
  • Work with team leaders and supervisors to hit performance targets.
  • Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Q&FS (Quality & Food Safety), and OSHA Safety policies.
  • Continuously learn plant systems, equipment, and processes
