About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Electrician supports production by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment to ensure continuous and efficient operations. This role is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe working environment. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, the technician applies strong multi-trade skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems. The role also involves responding to equipment issues, supporting facility maintenance across locations, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 442A licensed Industrial Electrician
  • 3-5 years of multi trade manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Hands on technical machine repair/troubleshooting knowledge working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical & PLC controlled production machinery
  • Exposure to and knowledge of robotics and automation, bowl feeders, vision inspection systems
  • Proven initiative, ability to balance competing priorities and learn new tasks quickly
  • Proven ability to work in a safe manner and follow all health and safety policies
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Self starter and proven team player

Nice To Haves

  • Injection molding experience an asset with thermoplastic/rubber

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative & corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair building and facility equipment at 3 locations.
  • Work under pressure/deadlines to troubleshoot, find root cause and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Complete assigned work orders.
  • Observe all safety regulations and lock out procedures.
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Read blueprints, diagrams, schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Operate hoists and lifting devices such as cranes, scissorlifts and forklifts.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, work on projects as assigned.
