About The Position

We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician based in our Milton location to join the Operational Maintenance team. This position offers a continental rotating shift schedule. 12 hour shifts rotate from day to night weekly. You must be able and willing to work both day and night shifts. 12 hour shifts are (days and nights) 8:00 – 8:00. Ready to help build a better future for generations to come? Requirements

  • Hold a valid Ontario Industrial Electrician License.
  • Possess a College Degree in a technical field, preferably electrical, computer, or electronics.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of valid industrial experience and/or completed an Apprenticeship program in Canada.
  • Exhibit proficiency in installation and programming, particularly in areas such as VFD drives, servo drives, PLC controlled Automation, motor control circuits, and industrial instrumentation.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Ontario Electrical Code.
  • Work well in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Showcase excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential electrical support to our production line, ensuring the highest production rate and a top-quality finished product.
  • Respond promptly to production staff requests, troubleshooting and providing solutions.
  • Engage in preventative and predictive maintenance, contributing to optimized operations.
  • Interpret and work from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications for industrial electrical equipment installations.
  • Install, examine, replace, and repair electrical components, wiring, and fixtures.
  • Conduct testing and maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment, ensuring proper functioning.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various electrical control systems and related devices.
  • Collaborate closely with the Maintenance Mechanic and contractors as needed.
