This position is hourly and eligible for OT pay as well as Double Time on extended shifts. It pays $35 - $43.50 based on experience.

Requirements

  • Hold a high school diploma or GED
  • Have completed a millwright apprenticeship, technical/trade school program, or possess equivalent qualifications
  • Have successfully held a Maintenance Lead or equivalent role for minimum of six months
  • Demonstrate at least six months of proven troubleshooting experience across all key areas of the packaging line, including but not limited to Former, case packer and palletizer.
  • Exhibit proficiency in interpreting technical documentation and applying best practices relevant to packaging operations
  • Completed a millwright Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to use computer applications
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities
  • Maintain your hand radio at all times
  • Participates in TATA Safety programs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing assigned mechanical and electrical maintenance related duties to the required company workmanship standards and in accordance with State and Federal installation codes.
  • Adheres to Company rules, regulations and core values
  • Responsible for maintaining an acceptable record of attendance
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner.
  • Maintains Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and excellent housekeeping practices throughout the shift in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
  • Comply with the Company’s Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Management System by following all safety policies and procedures, participating in required training, reporting hazards/incidents/near misses, and actively supporting ISO 45001 certification and continual improvement of OH&S performance.
  • Maintains 5-S work areas
  • Assist with testing and commissioning of newly installed packaging equipment
  • Develop standard operating practices (SOPS) and establish preventive maintenance (PM) procedures specific to new equipment.
  • Create troubleshooting guides and diagnose equipment issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System, (CMMS) for PM development, documentation and work order management
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, critical spares lists and equipment manuals to facilitate maintenance activities and training
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Production, Quality and fellow Maintenance staff influencing operational best practices and reliability standards.
  • Perform other duties that are equivalent in skill to job requirements as required.
