About The Position

The Maintenance Director leads and oversees engineering operations at the resort, shaping maintenance programs and coordinating the team’s work to support the organization’s annual business goals. The role oversees property repairs, capital projects, Engineering department initiatives, emergency preparedness and safety plans, supply inventory and purchasing, department assets, and relationships and agreements with business supporters and suppliers. The position also requires physical activities such as climbing stairs and ladders, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, grasping, stooping, and reaching overhead.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Ability to follow basic written and verbal directions.
• Ability to write and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions to engineering staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to climb stairs and work on ladders up to 40 feet.
• Ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to grasp, stoop, and reach overhead.

Nice To Haves

• EPA Certification Type II (HVAC).
• EPA I (Appliance) certification.
• 5–7 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Maintenance Technicians.
• Complete property repairs and manage capital projects in accordance with company guidelines.
• Develop and complete Engineering department initiatives, adjusting operations to meet the strategic goals and interests of Resort Operations.
• Ensure the property’s Emergency Preparedness and Safety Awareness plans are updated and current.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of operating supplies and follow proper purchasing procedures to maintain adequate supply.
• Ensure department assets, equipment, supplies, and storage are properly locked and secured.
• Manage relationships, contracts, compliance, and interface issues with business supporters and suppliers so business needs and financial responsibilities are handled in a timely manner.
• Perform other related activities as required.
