About The Position

The Maintenance/Custodian is responsible for custodial duties, minor maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties to help ensure buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. The role includes cleaning offices and recreational facilities, washrooms, floors, entrances, and surrounding areas; replenishing supplies; handling garbage; and performing or reporting minor repairs and facility issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices and recreational facilities.
• Mop tile and concrete floors and vacuum carpeted areas.
• Wash and disinfect washroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, hand dryers, and fixtures.
• Clean mirrors and replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed.
• Empty waste baskets and garbage cans and place garbage in the outside storage bin.
• Clean entrances and exits, including glass, doors, and hardware.
• Keep the outside area near entrances and exits clear of snow, cans, paper, and other debris.
• Perform or report minor maintenance repairs.
• Report damages and acts of vandalism.
• Wash and buff floors with a floor polisher.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
