The Maintenance Curriculum Developer/Trainer position is a curriculum development, training program management, and training delivery role. This position is a staff authority on maintenance training developing and advising on curriculum and training implementation for technical and leadership training through the Division of Maintenance & Operations. This position will actively participate as part of a training team that works collaboratively on a daily basis. This position will design and develop training programs and manage curricular projects across the State of Colorado that includes, but is not limited to: Maintenance Training Academy, Mechanics Shop Supervisor Leadership, Electricians, Bridge/Welding Certification, Traffic Services, Fiber Optics, CDOT 101 New Employee Training – Brilliant at the Basics, Traffic Control Curriculum, Flagger Intro to Traffic Control (Part of CDOT 101), Traffic Control Technician, Traffic Control Supervisor, CDOT Apprenticeship Training Program, Snowplow Operator Training Program (SPOT), CDL Entry Level Driver Training Program (ELDT), Office of Emergency Management, Transportation Incident Management, National Highway Institute – Maintenance Leadership Academy, and Regional-based maintenance and operations training programs statewide. The Maintenance Curriculum Trainer position is a versatile, experienced curriculum developer and trainer who can train on multiple topics and get up to speed quickly on new topics. This position will collaborate with the other technical and leadership trainers to continuously improve course content and research other training formats. This position must be a team player in all ways who brings new, innovative ideas to the table and who learns from the other team members to improve their own training capabilities. The Maintenance Curriculum Developer/Trainer assesses training needs, develops curricula to meet those needs, delivers training, and evaluates the effectiveness of training based on measurable outcomes. Lastly, this position manages the design, development and implementation of all Maintenance and Operation Training Services training programs for highway maintenance, highway foremans and specialty areas: mechanics, electricians, bridge/welding certification, traffic services and fiber optics.
