About The Position

This role involves leading and motivating a team to achieve high quality and productivity in daily maintenance activities. The Maintenance Coordinator will report on work request completion, manage requests requiring outside support, and provide status updates to requestors. Key responsibilities include team leadership, planning, scheduling, assessing, organizing, and directing daily maintenance operations. The position requires an awareness of code and regulatory requirements, conducting regular safety rounds, ensuring updated safety policies, and supporting energy conservation and environmentally responsible measures. The coordinator will implement practices to meet productivity goals, limit overtime, and adjust staffing as needed, while managing expenses within budget allowances. This role fully supports hospital/departmental initiatives for change and leads by example with a "Work Smarter" attitude, evaluating and optimizing processes for efficiency. Other duties may be requested by Facility Services management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in industrial/institutional maintenance.
  • Strong background in maintenance work order software management.
  • Valid SC drivers license.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in Maintenance and Life Safety training preferred.
