About The Position

Flynn Group of Companies is currently looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to support our Vancouver Branch (Office Location – 19175 22nd Avenue, Surrey BC), reporting to the Facilities Operations Manager. Flynn Group of Companies is the leading trade contractor in North America that works on virtually every aspect of a building’s outer layer, including Roofing, Glazing, Waterproofing, and Architectural Metals. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
3 years of experience in a related capacity
Experience with a computerized purchasing system
Experience with a computerized schedule system such as MS Project
Superior organization skills and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to work with minimal supervision
Proven ability to solve problems

Nice To Haves

Experience in large equipment rental or dispatching is an asset
Customer service experience is considered an asset
Mechanically inclined is considered an asset

Responsibilities

Coordinate and ensure the timely and accurate dispatch of large company equipment and rental equipment
Determine if company needs can be meet with our own equipment or will need to be provided by a rental source
Finalize rental details such as when, where and what equipment is needed
Verify availability of equipment with shops and/or check inventory status
Filing of purchase orders and related paperwork
Work closely with other departments to ensure satisfaction and accuracy of equipment requests
Provide recommendations for equipment purchase when cost savings can be identified
Update Flynn Hardcat system
Booking engineers for NDT’s inspections on all equipment throughout the year and updating system
Ordering parts for Flynn mechanics to repair equipment
