About The Position

NTT DATA is currently seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join their team in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. This role directs, coordinates, and schedules the repair and maintenance for assigned home-ported and deployed submarine units during in-port maintenance and voyage repairs. The position provides technical expertise in submarine mechanical, electrical, and electronic repair, including SUBSAFE requirements, seawater systems, steam systems, atmosphere control, Radio, Radar, Navigation, Sonar, Fire Control, and electric plant equipment. The Maintenance Coordinator will confer with management and other department heads to plan preventive maintenance programs and schedule inspections. They will also monitor, review, and process work requests, and collaborate with assigned units and repair facilities to develop and create critical path work schedules for availabilities and voyage repairs, tracking all critical path work during these periods. Additionally, the role involves preparing and presenting planning presentations for availabilities and voyage repairs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with FMP management practices and a thorough knowledge of automated modernization information systems applicable to K, KP and D SHIPALTS and SHIPALT contractor and installation activities.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with submarine maintenance, IMA, or submarine repair.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience interpreting and implementing a broad range of management policies in automated modernization management systems.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Submarine Material Office (N4 Squadron, FMA, NSSC, Shipyard or higher) experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using the Submarine Modernization and Readiness Tool (SMART) imbedded in the Navy Tool for Interoperability and Risk Assessment (NITRA) as required to support modernization.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably, prior Submarine Material office (N4 Squadron, FMA, or NSSC) experience.
  • Experience in developing submarine work procedures and test equipment certification requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of submarine systems and equipment.
  • Knowledgeable of JFMM, SUBSAFE/SOC requirements, and submarine repair instructions.
  • Proficient with computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to deliver on time and work under deadline pressure.
  • Passionate about learning new technologies and finding innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Directs, coordinates, and schedules the repair and maintenance for assigned home ported and deployed submarine units during in port maintenance and voyage repairs.

  • Monitor, review and process all work requests from assigned units, and work with assigned units and repair facility to develop and create the availability critical path work schedule.
  • Track all critical path work during availabilities.
  • Prepare and present presentations to the maintenance team for availability and voyage repair planning.
