About The Position

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and organizing all maintenance activities to support smooth and efficient plant operations. This includes scheduling preventive and corrective work, managing work orders in the CMMS, communicating with maintenance and production teams, and ensuring timely completion of tasks to reduce equipment downtime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience in a maintenance support role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, mechanical systems, and maintenance workflows.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety and environmental regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or technical certification in maintenance, industrial engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics preferred.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) or reliability-centered maintenance programs preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification or other relevant safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and prioritize preventive and corrective maintenance for production equipment and facility systems.
  • Receive, review, and assign work orders to appropriate maintenance personnel using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Monitor equipment performance and maintenance needs, identifying recurring issues and assisting in root cause analysis.
  • Coordinate with production teams to minimize disruptions to operations during maintenance work.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, equipment history, and compliance documentation.
  • Track and manage spare parts inventory; coordinate procurement with purchasing to avoid delays or shortages.
  • Ensure maintenance procedures follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Assist in preparing maintenance budgets, cost tracking, and contractor/vendor invoices.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to equipment reliability and maintenance practices.
  • Facilitate training and communication between maintenance staff and other departments.
