This role is responsible for various duties within maintenance control, reporting to the Maintenance Control Supervisor. The specialist will ensure familiarity with assigned tasks, potentially becoming certified to release aircraft "safe for flight." Key responsibilities include initiating and screening work orders, assigning Job Control Numbers, distributing work orders, completing maintenance data forms, and maintaining critical aircraft records and systems in accordance with Navy and Company instructions. The position also involves coordinating aircraft rinse sheets, assisting with scheduling aircraft into the maintenance program, assigning logistics priorities for parts, and controlling ground movement of aircraft. Additionally, the role requires monitoring the line move crew, maintaining work area cleanliness, adhering to Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention and Tool Control Programs, and complying with safety regulations. Documentation of work accomplished using electronic and/or manual systems is essential, as is ensuring proper grounding and the use of drip pans. The specialist will also assist in securing government and company equipment and perform other related duties.
