About The Position

The Ohio Turnpike is seeking a Maintenance Clerical Supervisor to work in its Maintenance Department. This role is an opportunity for career growth within one of Northern Ohio’s vital resources and contributes to the future of transportation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three (3) years of prior experience or training in maintenance clerical and inventory control.
  • Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge and proficiency of current standard operating procedures (SOPs) and industry standard practices related to inventory control, purchasing, timekeeping, recoverable work orders, document retention, and other administrative tasks.
  • Demonstrates strong patience and skill in teaching others clerical procedures, software applications, and standard workflows.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete documentation and forms accurately.
  • Proficiency in office practices and the use of computer equipment and programs including electronic timekeeping, Business ERP, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises employees performing clerical duties for maintenance operations, including Section Clerks.
  • Develops and provides training, reference materials, best practices, and standard operating procedures for maintenance clerical duties.
  • Ensures adherence to clerical best practices, policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assists with infrastructure maintenance management, including stockroom, fixed assets, small tool, and disposal management, recoverable work order administration, and other administrative tasks for the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission.
  • Performs routine random audit checks of material and supply inventory records to ensure proper procedures are followed.
  • Provides department support for managing physical inventory of stock materials, fixed assets, small tools, and non-stock procurement.
  • Monitors time and attendance, stock, purchase orders, contracts, and work orders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Engineer.
