About The Position

Works under the general supervision of an assigned supervisor in General Services to provide skilled labor for the construction and maintenance of City owned buildings and facilities. Constructs and repairs structural woodwork and equipment in establishment working from blueprints, line drawings, shop drawings, or oral instructions. Builds, repairs, and installs using carpenter's hand tools and power tools. Drives various types of trucks to and from work site to haul materials and equipment.

Requirements

• First Class Journeyman Carpenter and 4 years' experience, or any combination of experience or training which enables one to perform the essential job functions.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as a condition of continued employment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience repairing overhead doors and locks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned.
