About The Position

This role involves assisting with routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, troubleshooting basic mechanical issues, and performing simple repairs and adjustments. The position requires a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, who can support the installation of new machines and conduct equipment inspections. Responsibilities also include maintaining and repairing basic hydraulic and pneumatic components, using hand and power tools safely, following preventative maintenance schedules, and documenting work performed. Collaboration with senior technicians and production staff is key for skill development. Training will be provided for rigging, forklift, and aerial lift operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, GMP, and housekeeping practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently as a self-starter with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying environmental conditions.
  • Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and use of hand tools.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine maintenance on machinery and equipment within safety, GMP, and housekeeping requirements.
  • Help troubleshoot basic mechanical issues under the guidance of senior mechanics.
  • Perform simple repairs and adjustments to production equipment.
  • Work as a self-starter, completing tasks with little instruction and demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
  • Support installation and set up of new machines or components.
  • Conduct equipment inspections to look for wear, leaks, or safety concerns and report findings.
  • Maintain and repair basic hydraulic and pneumatic components as trained.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely for mechanical repair tasks.
  • Follow preventative maintenance schedules and complete required checklists.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety rules.
  • Document work performed in maintenance logs or CMMS systems.
  • Work closely with senior technicians and production staff to learn and develop mechanical skills.
  • Rigging, forklift, and aerial lift operations – Training provided by employer.
