About The Position

The Water Tower Inn is seeking enthusiastic, attentive, and approachable individuals to join their team as Maintenance Attendants. This role is crucial in ensuring guests feel comfortable and have a positive experience from the moment they enter the hotel. The Maintenance Attendant is responsible for addressing both urgent guest maintenance requests and performing preventative maintenance to protect the hotel's assets and maintain the appearance and functionality of all areas. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance needs, with a strong emphasis on guest service and clear communication.

Requirements

• Some experience in maintenance/repairs.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
• Ability to be on your feet for the duration of your shift.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve urgent guest maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Perform preventative maintenance on hotel assets to ensure proper functioning and appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
• Address a variety of repair tasks including painting, tile repair, furniture repair, plumbing, and emergency repairs.
• Maintain a calm and welcoming demeanor while multitasking between guest interactions, work orders, and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Follow company policies regarding professional appearance, guest privacy, and repair procedures.
• Record and act on guest preferences, and handle guest requests, questions, and concerns.
• Listen respectfully to guest complaints, empathize, and work towards an efficient resolution or involve a manager when necessary.
• Adhere to all company and brand standards to protect the product in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
