As a Maintenance Attendant, you help keep UCCU buildings, grounds, and workspaces safe, clean, attractive, and operating smoothly. You perform minor and miscellaneous maintenance, repairs, and upkeep involving building systems, grounds, equipment, furniture, and janitorial needs. You report larger repair or maintenance needs to your supervisor. The role includes detailed cleaning of drive-up areas, garbage enclosures, entrances, and other exterior areas; grounds maintenance such as weeding, trimming, sweeping sidewalks and gutters, collecting litter, and making minor sprinkler repairs; and seasonal snow removal and ice-melt application. You may also assist with detailed interior cleaning, check cleaning quality, operate building systems equipment, and support outside service representatives who inspect, maintain, or repair building components and equipment. As part of the Facilities team, you help ensure UCCU properties, buildings, grounds, equipment, furnishings, utilities, and related systems are maintained, operated, and inspected professionally. You coordinate with teammates, staff, and vendors; keep your supervisor informed of activities and concerns; attend meetings as required; complete records and reports; and use basic computer programs. Other work includes setting up for events, completing specially requested tasks and training, following policies and procedures, and occasionally handling after-hours assignments. Success means assigned areas, buildings, and equipment are consistently clean and well maintained; preventive maintenance and repairs meet established standards; needs are identified, resolved, or reported promptly; and work is coordinated and documented accurately. The role calls for productive use of time and a regular, predictable schedule.
