About The Position

The Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating scrubbers and buffers; dust, damp, and wet mopping; sweeping; vacuuming; dusting; and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The Associate upholds operational, merchandising, loss-prevention, health, and safety standards and is cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role also supports customer experience and a positive store culture, maintains cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store, responds to Front End coverage needs, and communicates effectively with management and Associates. Other duties may be assigned.

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

• Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including maintaining and operating the scrubber and buffer.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, such as the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Uphold the merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction measures.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures, including Associate meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
