About The Position

Rural King is seeking a Maintenance Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized store environment. The role supports routine cleaning, basic repairs, safety, and upkeep of the store and surrounding areas. The associate may also assist with general store activities and provide professional support to customers and other associates.

Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift, push, and/or pull 30 pounds repetitively and 31–50 pounds intermittently.
Ability to navigate and access all areas of the store and related facilities.
Ability to perform cleaning, maintenance, and physical store-support tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates.
Close vision required for computer-related activities.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the store and surrounding areas by cleaning floors, restrooms, breakrooms, fixtures, displays, parking lots, and exterior areas; operating a floor scrubber; emptying trash; and restocking supplies.
Perform basic maintenance and repairs, including changing light bulbs, addressing minor plumbing issues, and repairing damaged fixtures.
Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance needs, and malfunctioning equipment.
Assist with unloading trucks, stocking, zoning, and other store activities as needed.
Provide friendly and professional support to customers and associates.
Participate in cross-training and required learning opportunities.

Perform other duties as assigned.
